Star Trek Online has launched its 2026 Halloween event, Fall of the Old Ones, bringing a mix of new missions and returning seasonal content to the long-running space MMORPG. The event began on October 22 across PC and console platforms and is scheduled to run through November 12.

The seasonal event introduces players to a darker side of the Star Trek universe, combining supernatural themes with the game's familiar space exploration and combat systems.

New Patrol Missions and Returning Content
This year's event features new activities set around Castle Pyris, a location connected to the game's Halloween-themed storyline. Players can take on patrol missions while confronting mysterious forces known as the Old Ones.

Key highlights include:

• New patrol missions: Explore seasonal encounters and face unusual threats within the event's setting.
• Returning Cat's Tale content: Players can revisit the Halloween-themed Task Force Operation, offering a cooperative challenge for groups.
• Seasonal progression: Participate in event activities to work toward limited-time rewards.

The combination of new patrols and returning group content gives players multiple ways to participate, whether they prefer shorter missions or cooperative combat.

How to Participate in Fall of the Old Ones
Players interested in the event should check the in-game event interface for available activities and progression requirements.

To make the most of the limited-time event:

• Complete the available seasonal missions and review their individual objectives.
• Check event progression requirements before committing time to longer activities.
• Participate regularly while the event remains active.
• Review the reward list in-game to determine which items are worth prioritizing.

The event's limited duration makes it worthwhile for returning players to check the schedule early rather than waiting until the final days.

What the Halloween Event Means for Star Trek Online
Seasonal events remain an important part of Star Trek Online's long-term content strategy. They give established players reasons to revisit familiar locations while offering newer captains additional activities outside the main story missions.

The return of Fall of the Old Ones also reflects the game's willingness to explore genres beyond traditional science-fiction combat. Its supernatural atmosphere provides a different experience from the diplomatic encounters, space battles, and exploration missions that define much of the wider Star Trek universe.

Final Thoughts
The 2026 Fall of the Old Ones event adds another seasonal activity to Star Trek Online, combining new patrol missions with returning Halloween content. With the event ending on November 12, players have a limited window to explore Castle Pyris, complete available objectives, and pursue seasonal rewards.

Captains should consult the official event announcement and in-game interface for the latest details on reward requirements and availability.
